Name of the project: Modernization of mechatronics and robotics for bachelor's degree in Uzbekistan through innovative ideas and digital technology

Acronym: MechaUz


Aim of the project: Development of the undergraduate program of Mechatronics and robotics based on national priorities and on the basis of the education-qualification-innovation cycle in higher education through innovative ideas and digital technologies.


Main project outcomes:

  • ECTS-accredited Bachelors Programme in Mechatronics at 5 universities from Uzbekistan;
  • 12 new Bachelors courses;
  • Courses for Mechatronics teachers & enginneers (i.e. train the trainers);
  • 6 new mechatronic labs;
  • 5800 students being tought with the new curricula and labs;
  • 31 academic staff trained;
  • Methodology for university-industry collaboration in Mechatronics;
  • Training Centre for teachers of special subjects and engineers to use the new laboratory equipment and Mechatronics Society for promoting research, development and engineering science in the field of Mechatronics at Andijan machine-building institute;
  • Web platform for online learning & collaboration.
